Arêches
Tucked between lush green slopes and forests, Arêches is a traditional village filled with the sound of cowbells all year round, where sports fans come to take up the challenge of its slopes. Boasting exceptional snow cover at altitudes of 1 080 to 2 300 m, in the winter it becomes a ski resort to delight skiers of all levels and ski-hiking fans. Every year the resort also hosts the famous ski and mountaineering race, the Pierra Menta.
