Hauteluce
At the heart of the mountain pastures, surrounded by picturesque hamlets, the little village of Hauteluce has kept its timeless charm. It's the ideal place to enjoy some peace and quiet and admire the scenery. A real balcony of Mont Blanc, it offers one of the most beautiful views of the Alps. Its many inviting walks are an ideal way to take full advantage of its countryside. Its heritage is as rich as its environment; oratories, baroque chapels, an ecomuseum and traditional houses are in their element here. The village also contains a superb 17th-century church with an onion domed bell tower and trompe-l'œil façade decorations, a listed historic monument. This authentic little market town is a real haven for nature-lovers as well as board sports fans. In fact it offers skis-on access to the Saisies-Espace Diamant ski area and is close to the domain of Hauteluce-Les Contamines.
