Arêches-Beaufort, season after season
Want to get away from it all in an unspoilt natural environment? Come and breathe the pure mountain air at Arêches-Beaufort, a village resort located between 1,080 and 2,300 metres. In a typical alpine landscape, amidst verdant forests, Arêches-Beaufort has opened itself up to tourism but still retains its sense of identity and its agricultural economy.
In winter, skiers benefit from exceptional coverage across the ski area and its specially-designed snow parks – Bovoland, a boardercross endorsed by local champion Arnaud Bovolenta, and the Woodpark freestyle park, as well as La Trace waymarked ski touring trails.
discoverHauteluce, overlooking Mont-Blanc
With spectacular views of Mont Blanc, the unspoilt village of Hauteluce caters for summer and winter visitors alike. Farming, essentially the production of Beaufort cheese, is still important, and the vast alpine summer pastures provide a magnificent setting for walks and hikes. Breathe the pure mountain air at 1,160 metres and explore picturesque hamlets that have preserved their built heritage including a listed church and Baroque chapels. In winter, the slopes are within easy reach – Hauteluce offers access to two ski areas: Les Saisies-Espace Diamant and Hauteluce-Les Contamines.
discoverQueige, the countryside in the Alps
Nestling at an altitude of 585 metres, Queige is the gateway to the Beaufortain from Albertville. The village is also the starting point for some great hikes in summer and snowshoe walking or ski touring in winter. For a short break or a longer holiday in the Savoie Mont Blanc area, come and enjoy the pure air and freedom of these breathtaking natural landscapes.
discoverVillard-sur-Doron, an authentic alpine village
A hidden gem in the heart of the Beaufortain, Villard-sur-Doron, with its traditional houses and café tucked in next to the church, has remained a typical French alpine village. Wooden chalets line the road leading to Mont Bisanne, at 1,940 metres, from where you can enjoy a spectacular panoramic view over the Alps. Bisanne is also the village’s ski resort, with links to the Les Saisies-Espace Diamant ski area.
